Position Overview:
The Absenteeism Control Executive is responsible for managing and monitoring employee attendance at the labour camp. This role ensures that absenteeism is properly tracked, documented, and addressed in accordance with camp policies, to maintain smooth operations and minimize disruptions to the workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track Worker Attendance: Maintain daily attendance records for all labour camp workers. Ensure accurate documentation of leaves, absences, and shift attendance.
- Monitor Absenteeism Patterns: Identify trends in absenteeism (e.g., frequent absences, prolonged leaves) and report these trends to management for further action.
- Communication with Workers: Regularly communicate with workers regarding their attendance, addressing issues related to absenteeism and supporting the resolution of any underlying causes.
- Follow-up on Absences: Ensure timely follow-up with workers who are absent, confirming reasons for absenteeism, and collecting necessary documentation (e.g., medical certificates) as required.
- Coordinate with Camp Management: Work closely with HR and camp management teams to address absenteeism-related issues, including scheduling adjustments, shift swaps, and worker replacements.
- Report Absenteeism: Provide regular absenteeism reports to HR or camp management, including details of trends, potential issues, and proposed solutions.
- Enforce Camp Policies: Ensure that absenteeism is in compliance with camp policies and company regulations. Follow up on absenteeism cases that breach company guidelines.
- Ensure Worker Well-being: Identify and support workers facing challenges that affect their attendance (e.g., health, personal issues) by providing necessary assistance or directing them to appropriate services.
- Data Management: Update and maintain accurate records in camp management systems or databases for absenteeism tracking.
- Training and Awareness: Conduct awareness sessions or provide guidance to workers on the camp’s attendance policies and the importance of maintaining regular attendance.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification in HR, Business, or Management is a plus)
- Proven experience in HR, labour management, or workforce management, preferably in a labour camp setting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with diverse workers
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
- Familiarity with labour camp operations, regulations, and worker welfare systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and attendance management systems
- Knowledge of labour laws and best practices related to attendance and absenteeism
- Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues in a timely manner
Working Conditions:
- Work environment may be in both office and outdoor camp settings
- Flexibility in working hours, including night shifts and weekends as needed to monitor absenteeism across all shifts
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to attendance issues quickly in a fast-paced environment
